Centre County reported three new COVID-19 cases on Thursday to bring its total 16,898, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Pennsylvania added 277 new positives, bringing the commonwealth’s total to 1,209,725.
Centre County has had 23 consecutive days with fewer than 10 new cases, while Pennsylvania has had 20 straight days with fewer than 1,000 new positives.
The county reported 57 additional negative test results, bringing its total to 70,337. Statewide, there were 7,955 new negatives for a total of 4,700,256.
Mount Nittany Medical Center is treating five COVID-19 inpatients, unchanged from Wednesday. The patients range in age from 68 to 76, according to a hospital spokesperson. None are in intensive care or on ventilators, according to DOH’s hospital preparedness dashboard.
Pennsylvania has 454 COVID-19 inpatients, a decrease of 11 since Wednesday, with 113 in intensive care [-1] and 79 on ventilators [-1].
DOH reported no new deaths attributed to the virus among Centre County residents, keeping the county’s total at 225.
With 15 new COVID-19 deaths reported statewide, Pennsylvania’s total is now 27,546.
An estimated 96% of COVID-19 patients in the state have recovered, according to a health department calculation.
As of Thursday morning, 74,069 people in Centre County are fully vaccinated and 10,944 are partially covered.
Vaccination appointments for ages 12 and older are available through Centre Volunteers in Medicine, Mount Nittany Health and through other pharmacies and providers listed at vaccines.gov.
