Centre County reported five new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday to bring its total to 16,920, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Pennsylvania added 202 positives for a statewide total of 1,212,071.
The county also reported 67 negatives, bringing its total to 71,031. Statewide, there were 4,510 new negatives for a total of 4,764,973.
According to the DOH hospital preparedness dashboard, two COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in Centre County, one fewer than on Tuesday, with one in intensive care and one on a ventilator.
Pennsylvania has 313 COVID-19 inpatients, a decrease of three since Tuesday, with 59 in intensive care and 45 on ventilators [-5].
DOH reported no new deaths attributed to the virus among Centre County residents, keeping the total at 227.
With eight new COVID-19 deaths statewide, Pennsylvania’s total is now 27,678.
An estimated 97% of COVID-19 patients in the state have recovered, according to a health department calculation.
As of Wednesday morning, 76,056 people in Centre County are fully vaccinated and 10,476 are partially covered.
Vaccination appointments for ages 12 and older are available through Centre Volunteers in Medicine, Mount Nittany Health and through other pharmacies and providers listed at vaccines.gov.
