Centre County reported 75 new COVID-19 cases over the past two days — 61 on Sunday and 14 on Monday — to bring its total to 13,909, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Pennsylvania added 3,920 positives — 2,342 on Sunday and 1,578 on Monday — for a statewide total of 988,435.
The county also had 202 additional negative test results over the two days, increasing its total to 63,908. Across Pennsylvania, there were 11,838 new negatives for a total of 4,058,854.
DOH reported no new deaths attributed to the virus among Centre County residents, keeping the total at 213.
With 15 new COVID-19 deaths reported statewide — 14 on Sunday and one on Monday Pennsylvania’s total is 24,789.
Mount Nittany Medical Center is treating 19 COVID-19 inpatients as of Monday morning, unchanged since Saturday. The patients range in age from 44 to 90, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Statewide, 1,577 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, including 335 in intensive care and 189 on ventilators.
An estimated 92% of COVID-19 patients in the state have recovered, per a health department calculation.
A total of 38,149 people in Centre County have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The total includes 23,425 who are fully covered with both required doses, according to health department data.
Among Pennsylvania’s cases, 844,567 are confirmed and 143,868 are probable. In Centre County, 12,707 are confirmed and 1,202 are probable.
