Centre County reported seven new COVID-19 cases on Sunday to increase its total to 17,010, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Pennsylvania added 557 positives, bringing the statewide total to 1,220,115. It was the sixth consecutive day the commonwealth has registered more than 500 new cases.
The county also reported 47 negative test results to bring its total to 72,390. Statewide, there were 4,267 new negatives for a total of 4,880,120.
According to the DOH hospital preparedness dashboard, eight COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in Centre County, with none in intensive care or on ventilators — all unchanged from Saturday.
Pennsylvania has 368 COVID-19 inpatients, an increase of four since Saturday, with 83 in intensive care [+1] and 37 on ventilators.
DOH reported no new deaths attributed to the virus among Centre County residents, keeping the total at 228.
With four new COVID-19 death statewide, Pennsylvania’s total is now 27,827.
An estimated 97% of COVID-19 patients in the state have recovered, according to a health department calculation.
As of Sunday morning, 77,324 people in Centre County are fully vaccinated and 5,357 are partially covered.
Vaccination appointments for ages 12 and older are available through Centre Volunteers in Medicine, Mount Nittany Health and through other pharmacies and providers listed at vaccines.gov.
