The comical and macabre hit musical “The Addams Family” will take the stage at Penn State’s Eisenhower Auditorium for two performances at 7 p.m. April 1 and April 2.

Tickets — $81 and $66 for adults; $64 and $49 for individuals 18 and younger; and $45 and $40 for University Park students — are available for purchase online for the April 1 and April 2 shows, by calling the Center for the Performing Arts Ticket Center at 814-863-0255 or in person from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays at Eisenhower Auditorium. A $4 fee is applied to online purchases only.

In the musical comedy, A grown-up Wednesday Addams falls in love with a respectable young man and she brings him and his parents to dinner on a night that will changes everything for the Gomez, Morticia and the rest of the creepy, kooky family.

Wednesday is played by 2022 Penn State musical theatre graduate Melody Munitz in the Big League Productions tour of the 2010 Broadway show.

“They’re just like the rest of us,” Munitz said in a Center for the Performing Arts news release. “They’re a family who loves each other fiercely, who are unwilling to compromise their sense of self to fit into society.”

American Sign Language interpretation will be provided for both performances. Contact the Arts Ticket Center by Tuesday, March 18, at artstix@psu.edu or by calling 814-863-0255 to discuss ASL seating preferences.
