Acclaimed country music singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton will make a stop in State College this fall with his “All-American Road Show” tour.
Stapleton, with special guests Margo Price and Nikki Lane, will perform on Oct. 6 at Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center, the venue announced on Thursday. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
Tickets starting at $59.75 go on sale starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 17, through Ticketmaster.
Stapleton’s blend of outlaw country, rock and blues has yielded four platinum albums and a long string of hits, including chart-toppers “Tennessee Whiskey,” “Starting Over” and “You Should Probably Leave.” He’s won eight Grammys, 10 ACM awards and 15 CMA awards
No. 170 on Rolling Stone’s “200 Greatest Singers of All Time,” he most recently sang the national anthem in February at Super Bowl LVII.
Price and Lane are also acclaimed singer-songwriters who have garnered critical and popular success.
Price received a best new artist nomination at the 2018 and her latest album, “Strays,” released in January, has been met with rave reviews. Lane’s outlaw country and Americana sound has been showcased on four albums, and she co-wrote and performed “Breaking Up Slowly” on Lana Del Rey’s 2021 album “Chemtrails Over the Country Club.”
State College show is one of five new shows announced on Thursday for Stapleton’s “All-American Road Show” tour, which kicks off in April and spans 30 dates.
Stapleton joins an upcoming slate of performances at the Bryce Jordan Center that includes The Kid Laroi, Bruce Springsteen, Thomas Rhett, Kenny Chesney, Casting Crowns, Walker Hayes and Shinedown.
