DJ and record producer John Summit will make a stop at Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center on Oct. 30 as part of his “CTRL ESCAPE” tour, the venue announced on Wednesday.
Tickets for the 7 p.m. show go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 29. Penn State University Park students can begin purchasing tickets at 10 a.m. on May 28. An artist presale will start at 10 a.m. on May 27 and a presale for CashApp card customers takes place at 10 a.m. on May 26.
The stop in University Park is part of Summit’s first headlining arena tour across North America. The tour follows the release of his latest album, “CTRL ESCAPE,” which debuted last month and includes tracks such as “All the Time,” “Don’t Believe It” and “Lights Go Out” and features collaborations with artists including The Chainsmokers, Feid and Julia Wolf.
The Illinois native, whose legal name is John Walter Schuster, first gained mainstream attention with his 2020 breakout single “Deep End.” Before launching his music career full-time, Summit worked as an accountant in Chicago while producing house music on the side, which is highlighted in his recent album, intentionally released on this year’s Tax Day.
He has since become one of the fastest-rising artists in electronic music, headlining festivals such as Ultra Music Festival, Coachella, EDC Las Vegas and Lollapalooza. Summit is best known for tracks including “Where You Are,” “Shiver,” “Deep End” and “Go Back.”
The concert adds to growing fall entertainment lineup at the Bryce Jordan Center, which is also scheduled to host performances by Lil Wayne, Weird Al Yankovic, John Mulaney and MercyMe later this year.
