Happy Valley Improv will perform at The State Theatre for the first time in more than six years and first time ever on the main stage as one of its six shows this week during the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts.

The longform improv company will take the stage in the theater’s Friedman Auditorium at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 10.

“We are so excited to perform at The State Theatre for the Arts Fest crowd,” Nate Rufo, HVI co-founder and artistic director, said in a release. “It’s definitely a full circle moment for us and an incredible opportunity to perform in front of new audiences.”

The company performed its earliest shows in The Attic at The State Theatre. The last HVI show there, however, was in March of 2020 before a long pause in shows due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and before the opening of The Blue Brick Theatre, where the company now performs every Friday night.

Tickets for the State Theatre show are $14.30 and are available through the theater’s website.

HVI will have five more shows at The Blue Brick Theatre throughout Arts Fest. Admission for each is $10, with 50% of proceeds being donated to the festival.

• Wednesday, July 8, 4 p.m. (Family Friendly Show)

• Thursday, July 9, 7 p.m. (Youth Program Show)

• Friday, July 10, 9 p.m.

• Saturday, July 11, 7 p.m, and 9 p.m.
