LEWISTOWN — Suresh Patil M.D., an orthopaedic surgeon has joined the staff of Geisinger Musculoskeletal Institute in Lewistown, according to a press release.
Patil is specialty trained in joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee. He is among an exclusive group of surgeons nationwide offering Anterior Approach to hip replacement surgery — a minimally-invasive approach that allows for more rapid recovery. Patil also specializes in adult reconstruction involving partial knee replacement, complex primary and revision joint replacement surgery.
Prior to joining Geisinger, Patil was an assistant professor and orthopaedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstruction and general orthopedics at the NYU school of medicine affiliated Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
