Fred Hansard, a Class of 2017 four-star defensive tackle from The Hun School in Princeton, N.J., flipped his commitment from Florida to Penn State on Sunday.

Hansard is the fourth-ranked defensive tackle in New Jersey, according to 247Sports. He also had offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Hansard committed to Florida in August but unofficially visited Penn State on Nov. 5. That was followed by an official visit on Saturday.

Hansard is rated as the second best recruit in Penn State’s 2017 class. With this addition, Hansard joins fellow four-star defensive recruits Yetur Matos (DE), Johnathan Sutherland (S), and Dylan Rivers (OLB). 247Sports now ranks Penn States 2017 recruiting class No. 20 in the nation and No. 4 in the Big Ten.
