A 90-year-old Huntingdon County man was found dead Friday morning in rural Ferguson Township, nearly a week after he was reported missing.
Robert N. Oliver, of Franklin Township, appears to have suffered a medical event, Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers wrote in a news release. An official cause of death is pending final autopsy results, which are expected to take six to eight weeks.
Oliver was found at about 9:15 a.m. Friday in a wooded area on the 600 block of Deibler Road.
He had last been seen leaving his home on the afternoon of June 8 and was believed to be driving a 2005 Buick LeSabre to visit family in Centre County. Search parties were organized this week to look for Oliver on his dairy farm and along the roads and wooded areas between Spruce Creek in Huntingdon County and Pennsylvania Furnace in Centre County.
State police at Huntingdon continue to investigate.
