Cheddar is the only cat at PAWS with a real job.

His job title is “Socializer of Shy Female Cats.” After a few weeks with him, the girls get friendlier and more relaxed around people. Must be because of Cheddar’s soothing purrsonality!

This shorthair cat is neutered and just loves to play. He’s very talkative and will greet you with a BIG friendly meow. (Some people think his name should be “Chatter.”)

He’s also very affectionate and a big fan of head bumps, chin scratches, and belly rubs. Cheddar came to Centre County after Hurricane Katrina. He was adopted — but his person ended up being severely allergic so he came back to PAWS.

He has some special dietary and care needs. The folks at PAWS think Cheddar will be happiest living with a younger, laid-back female cat although he’ll probably do fine with a dog.

You can visit Cheddar at PAWS at 1401 Trout Rd., State College, anytime PAWS is open. Cheddar’s guardian angel has already paid his adoption fee as a gift to his forever family.
