An upcoming milling and paving project will close the 100 block of South Allen Street to vehicle traffic for two days.
State College Borough’s Public Works Department will close the road at 9 p.m. on Aug. 12. The road is scheduled to reopen to traffic on Tuesday, Aug. 14 when paving is completed.
The work is weather-dependent and subject to change.
Businesses on the 100 block of South Allen Street will keep normal hours during the work.
Elsewhere in downtown State College, a portion of East Beaver Avenue will see periodic lane closures for a streetlight replacement project beginning on Monday, Aug. 6. The work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily between South Allen Street and Hiester Street and is expected to be completed by Aug. 14.
