Keep the shovel on the porch. It’s not OK to stow it away just yet.
On the heels of the season’s first significant snowfall comes another — albeit much lesser — round of winter weather. About 2-4 inches of snow is expected all over central Pennsylvania after a fast-moving area of low pressure will pass just south of the area late Friday night and into Saturday, AccuWeather said. The storm should only last about six or eight hours, the weather service reported Friday.
Visibility could be as low as 0.25 miles, AccuWeather said, with winds up to 5 mph and temperatures in the 20s.
The State College area saw about 8 inches of snow fall on Wednesday, causing major accidents on roadways and temporarily shutting down University Park Airport.
