A downtown State College café that closed in 2018 will be making a comeback with a new name.
Barranquero Café, 324 E. Calder Way, will be reopening soon under new management as Touch of Colombia, according to signs in the restaurant’s windows and its website.
Specializing in authentic Colombian coffee and finger foods, Barranquero Café closed on Sept. 30 after a little more than two years in business.
Touch of Colombia will feature ‘fast Latin cuisine,’ including empanadas, arepas and build-a-plate options, as well as coffee, lattes and cappuccinos.
An opening date was not yet announced, but the café is now hiring through its website, www.touchofcolombia.com.
