One day ahead of schedule, the playground at Bernel Road Park has reopened for use.
The playground was closed to the public on June 27 for a contractor to remove and replace rubber safety surfacing. Though the rest of the park remained open, including the pavilion, the playground was blocked off.
Work was scheduled to continue until Tuesday, but Patton Township Manager Doug Erickson said repairs have been completed and the playground is open again on Monday.
