The State College Area school board will hold a special work session Wednesday night, starting new talks about the district’s facilities plans.

Board members are expected to focus on the State College Area High School campus and how best to plan and study future options there.

The public session is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the district administration building, 131 W. Nittany Ave. Board President Ann McGlaughlin has called it a chance ‘to plan for planning.’

The entire facilities-improvement process at State High is expected to last seven or eight years, from the preliminary planning talks this summer to the completion of construction, Ed Poprik has said. He is the district’s director of physical plant.
