Bob Dylan and his band will return to Penn State University Park in November, the Bryce Jordan Center staff announced Monday.

Their show is scheduled for 8 p.m. Nov. 9 at the center, according to the announcement. It will be Dylan’s fourth performance at the Jordan Center.

Tickets, priced at $47.50 apiece for the general public and $25 for any college student with valid identification, will go on sale soon. Students may begin buying at noon Thursday; the general public, at 10 a.m. Friday.

Ticket purchases may be made through the Jordan Center ticket office, Eisenhower Auditorium, the Penn State Theatre in downtown State College, the Altoona campus ticket outlet or online at www.bjc.psu.edu. Tickets also may be purchased by phone; the number is (814) 865-5555.

To call Dylan a legend would be an understatement, but the legendary singer and songwriter has released 61 albums in his long career. Five of them have reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart.

The 69-year-old also has won 11 Grammy Awards. His song ‘Like a Rolling Stone’ was named the greatest song of all time by Rolling Stone magazine in 2004.

In Pennsylvania, Dylan is also scheduled to play Pittsburgh and Bethlehem in November. Earlier, he played the Jordan Center in November 1999, when he opened for Phil Lesh; in November 2001, when he was the headliner; and in September 2006, when rain pushed his planned Medlar Field show indoors.
