Cash Reported Stolen from State College Gumby’s Delivery Vehicle

Several hundred dollars in cash was reported stolen early Sunday from a Gumby’s Pizza delivery vehicle, State College police said.

About 3:30 a.m., police said, the local Gumby’s staff saw a woman enter the locked vehicle through its sunroof. The car was parked outside the State College pizza shop, 300 S. Pugh St.

The woman fled with $575 to $625 in cash, dropping money and Gumby’s receipts as she ran from the scene, police said. She was last seen running near the intersection of South Allen Street and Fairmount Avenue, according to a police report.

She is described as standing about five feet four inches tall. She has a medium build and white skin, and had shoulder-length brown hair, police said. She was wearing a light-colored tank top with a design on it, plus jeans and flip-flops, according to the police description.

Also Sunday, a passed-out man was discovered in a men’s bathroom at the downtown McDonald’s, 442 E. College Ave., borough police said. Emergency responders answered a call there at 2:53 a.m.

The man, who was intoxicated, had been passed out in the bathroom for about 45 minutes, police said. He was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment of an alcohol overdose. Police said he will be cited for public drunkenness.
