Laurel Sanders, director of the Grace Lutheran Church’s preschool and kindergarten programs, says the church’s annual Veteran’s Day parade has grown larger and larger each year. This year’s parade featured not only children learning the value of patriotism, but also included veterans and active duty services members from across military branches.

“Part of this is so that these children can have strong role models, and so seeds are planted that will help them develop pride in our county and the ideal of freedom,” Sander says. “This is an opportunity for them to see the people that have protected our freedom and allow us to live the way that we do.”
