A holiday spectacular combining a Broadway-style musical and contemporary circus arts will light up the Bryce Jordan Center in December.

Cirque Dreams Holidaze will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 16, the Jordan Center announced on Monday.

Tickets start at $29 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster.

“As lights dim and music plays, a fantastical cast of holiday storybook characters come to life presenting an elaborate wonderland, invoking the stories behind a child’s eye as they dream on the most magical of nights,” a press release described the performance. “Ballerinas, nutcrackers, snowmen, penguins, reindeer, ethereal aerialists, gingerbread people, carolers and colossal ornaments fly, balance, juggle and stretch imaginations.”

The production includes more than 20 accomplished artists and circus acts, while Broadway singers perform original music and with new twists on classics such as “Deck The Halls,” “Winter Wonderland” and “Jingle Bell Rock.”

After having no performances since February 2020 because of COVID-19, the BJC has announced four ticketed events so far for 2021-22. Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live will stop at the venue Oct. 16-17; country artist Kane Brown will perform on Nov. 6; and singer-songwriter Billie Eilish will perform on Feb. 10, 2022.
