 Recognize the name “Mike Poorman”?

If you’ve been around StateCollege.com in the last few weeks, you should. He’s been covering the Penn State football team like no one else.

Over the weekend, he released the inaugural “Paterno Phile” and also shared the details of his encounter with Curt Warner. His piece on the Jerome Hayes is a must-read as well.

Monday: Start the week off with yours truly and my columns about campus life and student issues. I’ve spent the last four years on the University Park campus, so I’m no stranger to my topics.

Tuesday: Check here every week for a one-on-one interview with a Penn State professor. We’ll find some of the most fascinating people at the university and bring them to you.

Wednesday: Mike the Mailman joins Mike Poorman for Mike&Mike every Wednesday. You’re already familiar with Mike Poorman’s work, and you’ll find his partner to be as entertaining of a writer as he is a mailman. The duo will alternate weeks, starting with Mike Poorman’s first column today.

Thursday: Any sports fan in Happy Valley recognizes the names of our Thursday columnists: JayPa and JoeBa. Quarterbacks coach Jay Paterno and Nittany Lion Club Executive Director Joe Battista team up in the later half of the week to discuss area goings-on.

Friday: Penn State journalism professor Russell Frank is no rookie columnist. He’s been in the journalism business for years and wrote columns for the Centre Daily Times. Readers can expect this veteran writer to have columns that are as thorough as they are readable.
