StateCollege.com is proud to announce that Friday columnist Russell Frank placed second in the Online Column category of the National Society of Newspaper Columnists 2010 competition.
Frank, who joined StateCollege.com in early September 2009, has produced 45 excellent columns for the website, but three won him the award:
- TheValleyIsNotHappy, Sept. 25, 2009
- When A Bus Shelter Is The Only Shelter, Oct. 9, 2009
- Could Be Worse, Nov. 6, 2009
The award put StateCollege.com with some big media organizations — a Detroit News columnist took first place; a Newark Star-Ledger columnist took third — in just its first year of editorial content.
The StateCollege.com team is thrilled with Frank’s success. We have had high expectations for him, but he continues to impress on a weekly basis. (Read his column today for another sample of his great writing.)
Congratulations to Russell Frank!
