Vice President Joe Biden will be the headliner at a Democratic political rally at Penn State next week, the Associated Press reported this morning.
An announcement from the national Democratic Party confirmed that the event — an ‘organizing rally’ — will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday on the University Park campus.
Biden ‘will be getting us fired up for the final stretch of our Vote 2010 campaign — and making sure we all know how important it is that we keep moving America forward,’ the announcement reads.
The rally will be meant especially to energize young voters as the Nov. 2 general elections approach, according to the AP report. It says the Penn State event will be held in conjunction with an appearance by President Obama at the University of Wisconsin.
The rally featuring Biden will be free and open to the public, according to the Democratic Party announcement, though an exact event location has not been revealed.
