A man wearing a brown ski mask has robbed the Nano Mart at 129 Locust Lane, State College, Penn State police reported.
It happened about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at the convenience store, according to an alert from the university. The suspect demanded cash and indicated he had a weapon in a pocket, the alert reads.
A store clerk handed over an unknown amount of cash; then, the suspect ran north toward College Avenue before turning onto Calder Way, per the report.
State College police have asked people to be alert, it says. Police described the suspect as a white man standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall. He was wearing a red coat with a red hood, and gray sweatpants, according to the description.
Authorities have asked anyone with information about the incident or the suspect to call borough police at 911 or (800) 479-0050.
