A Centre County man is in jail after police say he allegedly abused an 18-month-old child.
The child was brought to the Mount Nittany Medical Center on November 23 of this year with a serious internal head injury and bruises to the face, arms, and legs. Doctors suspected abuse and notified authorities on the case.
The child was transferred to a hospital in Hershey.
Late last week, police charged 23-year-old Todd Zimmerman of Runville Road in Bellefonte for the assault on the young child.
As of Friday, Zimmerman was being held in the Centre County jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.
