Multiple fire departments responded to the scene of a fire at a Patton Township apartment complex on Sunday night.

Emergency crews were dispatched at about 9 p.m. to Vairo Village, 10 Vairo Boulevard, for reports of a working fire in an apartment at building 225.

Alpha Fire Company arrived first on scene and found heavy smoke coming from the second floor. The building was evacuated and no injuries have been reported.

Crews did not have to break the roof to contain the fire and appeared to have it under control quickly.

Boalsburg and Undine fire companies and Centre LifeLink EMS were also dispatched. The Centre Region fire marshal was called to investigate the cause of the fire.
