Update 11:55 a.m. Oct. 28: The road work and associated detour planned for Thursday on Waupelani Drive have been postponed until a date to be determined because of forecasted inclement weather.

Original story

A State College road will be partially closed for one day this week while the borough’s public works department performs asphalt repairs.

The eastbound lane of Waupelani Drive (heading toward South Atherton Street) will be closed at O’Bryan Lane from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, according to the borough. Detour signage will be in place to direct traffic around the closure.

The detour is planned for crews to complete the work at the intersection of Waupelani Drive and South Allen Street.

Westbound traffic and CATA bus service will not be impacted, according to the borough.

Calder Way Closure

Part of East Calder Way in State College will be closed to traffic on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

The road will be closed between Hetzel Street and High Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for Celerity Integrated Services to install fiber optic cable to The Rise apartment building.
