The Fraser Centre, once an empty parking lot that few thought would ever be completed, is starting to fill up with well known tenants.
According to Target’s website, as tipped off by The S-Zone, the major retailer will move into the Fraser Centre when it opens this fall.
Once completed, the Fraser Centre will feature 60,000 square feet of retail space — of which 28,000 will be taken up by Target — a 158-room Hyatt, and 26 to 32 residential condos. The building will stand at 155 feet, making it the tallest in State College by about 60 feet.
Clothing store H&M and bar/restaurant Federal Taphouse were announced as Fraser Centre tenants last week.
While State College is home to another Target on Colonnade Boulevard, this new Target will be the first major retailer within reasonable walking distance of campus.

Fraser Centre construction is well under way.
