Penn State alumnus Joe McCarthy wanted to give back to the community.

But he wasn’t going to do things the old way by asking for donations with nothing in return.

McCarthy came up with a way to benefit good causes and community organization while also benefitting those who donate, and it’s called Happy Valley Eats for Good

After teaming up with over 90 local restaurants and businesses, Eats for Good offers a digital coupon book with 100 local deals and $1,264 in savings in State College.

The book includes restaurants like Cold Stone Creamery, Dickey’s, Cafe 210, Rotelli, Home D Pizzeria, My Thai, and plenty more. It includes stores like Freeze Thaw Cycles, 2000 Degrees, and Momentum Fitness. You can save at hair salons, tanning salons, and spas. The list goes on and on.

It’s as simple as heading over to the Eats for Good website, picking an organization to donate $10 or more through, and receiving your coupon book, which can be used through your phone or by printing it out.

The organizations to donate through range from Housing Transitions to the Onward State Scholarship Fund to the Centre County Youth Service Bureau.

For a minimum donation of $10, you can give back to the community and get your donation back hundredfold thanks to Happy Valley Eats for Good.
