Only one former Penn State football player can be found in the gossip mags these days.

Matt Hahn, a fullback from 2004-07, has his wife to thank for that. Married seven months ago to Rachel Uchitel — who gained fame in 2009 as one of Tiger Woods’ mistresses that rocked his marriage and golf game  — Hahn is back in celebrity gossip circles.

Today, the word is celebratory.

According to various reports, including the Los Angeles Times, Hahn and Uchitel welcomed their first child, a baby girl, Tuesday night in San Francisco.

Of course, everyone is focusing on the name, Wyatt, traditionally a male name. The full name — Wyatt Lilly Hahn  — has more of a feminine ring to it.

Hahn finished his career with 134 yards and one touchdown on 30 carries. He was also a threat catching the ball out of the backfield, finishing with 27 catches for 214 yards and two touchdowns.

His most memorable play came sophomore year, the 2005 season, when Hahn leaped across the goal line to catch a blocked punt and score his first touchdown in the 31-22 Big Ten title-clinching victory at Michigan State. The play was selected as the “Pontiac Game-Changing Performance” of the week.
