The annual Grand Procession and 5K Resolution Run, both parts of First Night State College, will alter traffic in downtown State College on Saturday.

Both are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.

According to State College police, the procession line-up will form at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 208 W. Foster Ave. The procession will travel north on Fraser Street to College Avenue, east on College to Allen Street, south on Allen Street to Foster Avenue, and west on Foster to Sidney Friedman Park (formerly Central Parklet), police said.

The Resolution Run, meanwhile, is set to start on College Avenue at Allen Street. Runners will head west on College Avenue to Burrowes Road, then north on Burrowes to Curtin Road. They will follow Curtin Road to Bigler Road, Bigler to Pollock Road, Pollock to Fraser Road, Fraser to Curtin Road, Curtin to Shortlidge Road, Shortlidge to College Avenue, and College to Locust Lane, police said.

To accommodate the events, according to a news release, police will restrict parts of College Avenue to one lane from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Saturday. The affected area will run from South Garner Street to South Fraser Street; drivers may see some minor delays, police said.
