The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for the Centre Region.
The flood watch will remain in effect through late Thursday evening.
In State College, a steady rain is expected to begin around noon and last until approximately 9 p.m. tonight according to Tom Kines, an AccuWeather senior meteorologist.
One to two inches of rain is expected in the area. If you’re driving watch for water accumulating on streets.
Some thunder is possible, but Kines says it will be mostly heavy rain.
“There could be a few breaks throughout the day, but it will be raining more often than it’s not raining,” says Kines.
