After eight years in business, a downtown State College frozen yogurt shop has closed its doors.
A sign on the door of Kiwi Yogurt, 324 E. College Ave., announced the closure to customers. Brother and sister Matt Mealey, a Penn State grad, and Ryan Mealey Conover opened the State College location in March 2011 after founding the first of their shops in 2009 in Cherry Hill, N.J.
‘As a family owned, operated business,it is with heavy hearts that we share some news,’ the owners’ message said. ‘Unfortunately, after nearly 10 years, we are forced to close our PSU store. Without you, our loyal Kiwi fans, we would not have had such a wonderful run! Thank you!’
Kiwi now has locations in Collegeville, Exton, Pottstown and Philadelphia in Pennsylvania and in Moorestown, N.J.
The College Avenue storefront is listed for lease by Industrial Commercial Realty
