The Happy Valley Indian Performing Arts Festival will take place Friday through Sunday in Penn State’s HUB-Robeson Center. The event will feature six different styles of dance and vocal music, with performances by six notable artists.

The show includes Indian dance forms including Kathuk, Odissi and Mohiniyattam. Vocal music includes Carnatic Vocal, Dhrupad-Dhamar, and Nazrul Geeti. The festival starts at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 6 p.m. on Sunday in 131 HUB and the Flex Theater.

The Society for Indian Music and Arts and Nritya will sponsor the event — the two organizations aim to preserve traditional Indian dance, as well as promote the style throughout the State College community.

Students can purchase tickets for $4 per day and general admission tickets will cost $4.99. For questions about ticket sales, contact sima.sandesh@gmail.com or nritya.psu@gmail.com.

The event is open to everyone in the community. For more information on the specific schedule of performances, check out the event Facebook page.
