Many of the top football recruits in the country will be showcased Thursday in high school All-American games. The Army All-American Bowl will kick off at 1 p.m. and the Under Armour All-American Game kicks off at 6 p.m. Six current Penn State commits and three targets will be playing in the games.

The Army All-American Bowl will be played in San Antonio and be broadcast live on NBC. Top Penn State signee Micah Parsons highlights the rosters and has been making his force felt during practices this week.

There are two offensive tackles in this game to keep an eye on. The first tackle is current signee Nana Asiedu. Another name to follow is Rasheed Walker. Walker and Parsons have been competing against each other all week at practices, with Parsons trying to recruit the four-star offensive tackle to sign with Penn State in February.

The Under Armour All-American Game — played in Orlando and broadcast on ESPN2 —  features more Penn State commits and targets.

Five-star wide receiver Justin Shorter and running back Ricky Slade highlight the top offensive players. Four-star wide receiver Shaquon Anderson-Butts and defensive tackle PJ Mustipher will also be playing in the game.

Mustipher has been one of biggest surprises to observers at practices this week.

Four-star defensive ends Tyreke Smith and Jayson Oweh plan on announcing their commitments during the game. Both are expected to choose between Ohio State and Penn State. Penn State’s recruiting class is in need of defensive ends, as it currently has two signees, Micah Parsons and Judge Culpepper. Coach James Franklin expects to play Parsons at middle linebacker, so getting one, if not both, players would be big boosts to the already fourth-ranked recruiting class in 2018.
