The Penn State Lady Lions close out their regular-season home schedule today with a “Pink Zone” game against Michigan. The 1:00pm game at the Bryce Jordan Center is expected to pull in a big crowd to show support for breast cancer survivors. Today is also Senior Day. Five Lady Lion seniors will be recognized during pre-game ceremonies.

Expectations are running high. The Lady Lions can clinch at least a share of their second consecutive Big Ten regular-season title with a win over the Wolverines.

Penn State’s hopes to improve upon a strong record (22-3, 12-1 Big Ten). Michigan brings a (19-7, 8-5) record to University Park.

The Pink Zone game has become a fixture at Penn State with emotional tributes to breast cancer survivors. The event helps raise awareness and also supports six breast cancer charities. For every ticket that’s sold three dollars will go to Pink Zone programs.

This year’s fundraising efforts will benefit the Mount Nittany Medical Center, Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital and Lewistown Hospital. Last year, the Lady Lions donated nearly $203,000 for breast cancer causes.
