I support Marc Friedenberg’s campaign for U.S. Representative in Pennsylvania’s 12th District.

Marc’s priorities start with improving the economy of the 12th District. He will increase well-paying jobs, by working to raise the federal minimum wage to a true living wage, defending both union and non-union workers against attacks by big business that would hamper their ability to stand up for their rights in the workplace, and bringing infrastructure projects to the 12th, including sustainable energy and rural broadband.

Affordable and comprehensive healthcare is critical for both families and employers in Pennsylvania. Astronomical health care costs are crippling the ability of smaller businesses to hire and retain employees. A universal healthcare system that keeps costs low, the way Medicare does, would take this burden off of the working people and small employers in the United States.

In addition, Marc would devote more resources to combat the opioid crisis in the 12th District and across the country, a crisis our current administration has only paid lip service to and that our current representative in the 12th, with ties to big pharmaceutical companies, has worsened with his sponsorship of legislation that increased the flow of these dangerous drugs into Pennsylvania.

Most importantly, unlike our current congressman, Marc will represent all of the people of the 12th District, whether you’re Republican, Democratic, or “none of the above.” The issues he is making his priority to solve affect all of us.
