Lettermans Sports Grill, 1301 E. College Ave. in State College, is under new ownership. A Penn State graduate from the Pittsburgh area who did not want to be identified, said he plans to keep the restaurant and bar the same for the time being, but changes may be coming.
Previously, the building in front of Hampton Inn held Damon’s Grill. After renovations, it reopened as Lettermans in 2015 under a partnership led by Scott Balboni.
The sports bar boasts that it is the closest bar to Beaver Stadium and the Bryce Jordan Center. The grill has a lower and upper bar area and a dining room, along with an outside patio.
Lettermans also has banquet and catering options.
