On Saturday, December 16, Patton Township Police were dispatched to a report of a male entering vehicles in the parking lot of Vairo Village, located at 10 Vairo Blvd. Officers arrived within minutes and encountered a suspect matching the description given by the caller.
Officers took James William Bannon, 24, into custody. Bannon is a resident of Vairo Village. The suspect admitted to trying the doors of vehicles in the parking lot as he was walking back to his apartment. He only entered unlocked vehicles. Bannon removed items from several of the vehicles he entered, including a camera, a digital tire gauge, a key chain and some money.
Bannon will be charged with theft and related charges.
