A 32-year-old Potter Township man was charged on Wednesday with the rape of one teenage girl and sexual assault of another earlier this year.
Brian M. Schreck was arraigned by District Judge Thomas Jordan on 11 felony and misdemeanor charges. He was unable to post $200,000 bail and is being held at the Centre County Correctional Facility.
According to a criminal complaint, Centre County Children and Youth Services notified Pennsylvania State Police at Rockview in April that a juvenile female reported she was raped by Schreck a few days earlier in a Potter Township home. In interviews at the county Children’s Advocacy Center, the girl said Schreck gave her Xanax, alcohol and a powdery substance in a glass of water the night of the alleged rape.
She said she was ‘shocked’ after it happened and that a few days later Schreck asked her if she remembered what happened, to which she replied that she did, according to the complaint. Two witnesses interviewed by police said that she was upset when she separately told them that night what happened.
The second alleged victim told police in May that in January Schreck gave her alcohol and marijuana. She said she became ill and went to the bathroom, and that the next thing she remembered was waking up on a couch with Schreck apologizing for ‘humping her.’ One witness said he saw Schreck inappropriately touch the girl and told him to stop. Another said he saw Schreck carry the girl to a couch where it looked like he was ‘humping’ her and told the witness he ‘was just messing around,’ according to police.
Several witnesses alleged that Schreck was known to provide drugs and alcohol to minors, according to the complaint.
Schreck is charged with rape, statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor-sexual offenses, sexual assault, two counts of corruption of minors, indecent assault, two counts of indecent assault of an unconscious person, and indecent assault of a person less than 16-years-old.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
