Man Dies After Motorcycle Crash on Route 45

A 30-year-old man died after a motorcycle crash on Sunday in Penns Valley, according to state police at Rockview.

Jeffrey Taylor, of Mill Hall, was traveling westbound on Route 45/Penns Valley Pike just west of Luse Road in Potter Township at about 5:30 p.m. when he began passing traffic on the north shoulder of the road, police wrote in a crash report.

Taylor then lost control of his 2001 Yamaha, struck a tree and was thrown from the motorcycle, according to to police.

He died en route to Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Penns Valley EMS, Centre Hall Fire Company and Extreme Towing assisted at the scene.
