A  man had to be flown to the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville after police found him unconscious and seriously injured over the weekend.

Police say they received a call shortly after 2:10 on Sunday morning about an unconscious 19-year-old in the 200 block of South Sparks Street.

He was reportedly covered in blood and vomit, and was laying in the stairwell of a building. Police suspect that he may have fallen down the stairs, and that alcohol may have been a factor.

Emergency responders advised police the man likely had a skull fracture, leading to his emergency transportation to the Danville medical center.

Police did not release the man’s name and his current medical condition is unknown.
