A Pennsylvania Furnace man is facing charges after police say he refused to leave a State College apartment and urinated on a couch.
According to a criminal complaint filed by State College Police, at about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Lantz K. Hopkins, 21, entered a Pugh Street apartment without permission and proceeded to enter a woman’s bedroom and lie down next to her. After being told he was not welcome and needed to leave, he left the bedroom and proceeded to lie on a couch in the living room, police said.
Hopkins allegedly was told to leave again but ignored the requests, and residents told police they witnessed him urinating on the couch.
Police said Hopkins answered the door when they arrived and an officer immediately observed an odor of alcohol.
Hopkins was charged with a felony count of criminal trespass and a summary charge of criminal mischief – damage to property. He was arraigned before District Judge Kelley Gillette-Walker and bail was set at $25,000.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 5.
