A man suffered a broken nose Saturday after a reported altercation in State College, borough police said.
The incident was reported shortly after 3 p.m. According to a police report, the man told police he was punched in the face somewhere on Fraternity Row or Fairmount Avenue. He was treated at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Among other weekend incidents reported by State College police:
- An unknown object struck a man in the head on the 200 block of East Foster Avenue, police said. The incident was reported about 12:50 p.m. Saturday. Police said the man, a pedestrian, was on his way to the nearby Acacia fraternity house. He received 12 stitches in the head. Police identified him as a 20-year-old Penn State student.
- A 22-year-old man was cited for throwing snowballs Saturday afternoon in the area of Beaver Stadium, police said. He was told to leave but refused, according to a police report. He is facing charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct, police said.
- Two unidentified people tore a man’s shirt shortly after 11:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a police report. That happened at North Sparks Street and West College Avenue, police said. The man was targeted after he laughed at a friend who fell on some ice, according to the report.
- A woman reported her MacBook Pro laptop and BlackBerry device were stolen during a party at 340 E. Beaver Ave., police said. The report was filed about 2:20 a.m. Sunday.
