At least one person was flown from the scene by medical helicopter and a road was temporarily closed after a two-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon in Milesburg.
Emergency responders were dispatched at about 2:35 p.m. to the 300 block of South Eagle Valley Road, near Eagle Valley Personal Care Home, for a crash with entrapment, according to Centre County 911 dispatches.
Extrication of the entrapped patient was completed at about 3:05 p.m.
A LifeFlight helicopter landed nearby to transport one patient to a hospital. According to Centre County Emergency Alerts and Information, a page operated by local emergency responders, four other people were also taken to a hospital by ambulance and another person refused treatment.
The road reopened at about 4:15 p.m., according to PennDOT’s 511PA.
Centre County 911 wrote in a Facebook post that school buses from Wingate Elementary and Bald Eagle Area Middle and High School were expected to be delayed during the closure.
State police, Citizens Hook and Ladder, Logan and Undine fire companies, and Centre LifeLink and Pleasant Gap EMS responded.
