May 15-21 is National Police Week, and at noon today representatives of all Centre County law enforcement agencies and members of the public will join together for a memorial honoring those killed in the line of duty.
The 19th annual Centre County Law Enforcement Memorial will begin at noon at the Centre County Courthouse in Bellefonte.
‘All Centre County law enforcement agencies will be participating in the ceremony that will honor and memorialize the ultimate sacrifice paid by 140 law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty in the United States in 2016,’ according to a news release.
Meg Brower will perform the National Anthem, and state Sen. Jake Corman will be the keynote speaker.
The public is encouraged to attend.
