Penn State starting running back Miles Sanders and defensive end Shaka Toney will have a new look against the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Sanders will wear No. 8 tonight in honor of fellow running back Mark Allen, whose season ended prematurely following an undisclosed season-ending injury last week.

Toney will switch from No. 18 to No. 97 in tribute to defensive end Ryan Bucholz, who retired from football prior to the start of the season because of ongoing injury issues that have led to multiple back surgeries.

Allen, a senior served a productive role as a backup behind Sanders, rushing for 4.3 yards per carry and two touchdowns this year before his season ended.

Bucholz, a redshirt junior, had 34 tackles and five sacks during his career as a Nittany Lion, starting six games last season

Penn State players swapping jersey numbers with injured players is something of a program tradition. Most recently, defensive end Shareef Miller honored teammate Torrence Brown by wearing his number when Penn State traveled to take on Iowa last season.
