Customers of the Milesburg Borough Water Authority will be without water service for a period of time on Saturday.
Repair work for a leak will require a full system shutdown beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, according to a statement on the authority’s website and Facebook page.
“At this time, we do not have an estimated completion time,” the authority wrote. “Crews will be working until the repair is finished and service can be safely restored.”
The authority will share updates as they become available, according to the statement.
West Street will be closed at the intersection of Cross and View streets during the repair work. Drivers who travel through the area should plan to use alternate routes.
The authority provides water service to Milesburg Borough and parts of Boggs Township.
