A crash involving a Bellefonte Area School District bus on Tuesday afternoon resulted in no serious injuries, according to district officials.
The bus was traveling to the middle school with five students on board at about 3:45 p.m. when it was struck by a passenger vehicle at the intersection of East High and McAllister streets, Superintendent Roy Rakszawski wrote in a message to families.
Several students were treated at the scene for minor injuries, Rakszawski wrote.
Borough police, Bellefonte and Pleasant Gap EMS and Logan and Undine fire companies responded, according to Centre County dispatch reports.
“Thank you to administration and first responders for their quick and effective response to ensure the safety and well being of our students,” Rakszawski wrote.
